Heritage Summer: Miel

Miel is part of the Heritage Line, designed by my mother, Monina. Every bag in this line is its own slow act of attention, layered piece by piece over many hours, the way a story gets told.

The body is upcycled denim. From there, it becomes a tapestry. Deep indigo, warm marigold, rust, and rose layer together in a rich, golden swirl of blooms. Hand-applied embellishments, antique lace, gold-thread embroidery, raised floral appliqué, and a long beaded charm with a pink butterfly and little key that move when you move and catch the light like a small companion you carry with you.

A generous adjustable strap lets you wear it crossbody or over the shoulder. Outer pocket on main body, inner compartment has a zippered pocket. A small velcro tab keeps it closed.
