How do I shift from lifespan
to healthspan?
For a long time, wellness was measured in years. How many we get. The new conversation is different. It is about how many of those years we actually live well, and that idea has a name: healthspan.
I am Kristina. I am a Registered Nurse, an interfaith minister, a Reiki Master, an artist, and an author. I reinvented my life and chose to design one that nourishes my mind, body, and spirit. As a nurse, I was trained to see a person's health as all three. Lately, we have drifted from that foundation. My work is about gathering it back together, and walking the path with you.
A long lifespan without a healthy healthspan is just staying alive.
We already know the basics: eat well, move, see your doctor, take your vitamins. What deserves our attention next is the quality of the years we are given, and how much wellness and joy we have allowed in and allotted for.
If you are reading this, you are not here for quantity over quality. Neither am I. So let's begin where any honest practice begins: with mind, body, and spirit.
The Framework
Mind. Body. Spirit.
My definition of wellness, and the foundation of every practice here. Three parts of one whole.
Where wellness begins.
Journal, read, puzzle, sew without patterns. Notice mood, perception, and surroundings. Surround yourself with healthy minds that inspire you.
Healthy thoughts. Healthy mind. This is the soil. Everything grows from here.
The home we live in.
Breath. Stretching. Skin care. Bathing. Moisturizing. Gratitude for the body that accompanies us. Maintenance. Prevention. Rest. Recovery.
Snack-sized movement. The practice you can actually keep.
The quiet witness.
Not a building or a doctrine. The inner self. The observer. The longing for the sacred. Philosophies, devotion, and ritual that adapt to fit who you actually are.
The awareness that we are one organism experiencing itself within each of us.

May you choose quality over quantity.
May you tend mind, body, and spirit as one whole.
May you live not just long, but well.
And may your healthspan be full of joy.
Go gracefully. 🤍
